SCIENCE THROUGH FUN

SEPT 11 – 29, 2017

The exhibition, Science Through Fun, showcases eighteen simple scientific experiments aimed at raising interest in science among the young. The main target group are pupils and secondary school students, who will be acquainted with physical, optical and mechanical phenomena through practical demonstration and exercises.

Exercises in superconductivity, magnetism, light and waves will provide a unique opportunity for the students to enhance their knowledge of science and for teachers to get an idea of how to do similar exercises in their schools. Besides the students, the exhibition is also intended for all those who are interested to see how certain phenomena occur and to learn about their causes. Group visits for schools will be organized every workday from 10 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 4 pm.

The exhibition is open for individual visits every workday from 4 pm to 8 pm and on Saturdays from 10 am to 3 pm.

The exhibition, Science Through Fun, at the Gallery of Science and Technology, is also part of the Night of Researchers event, organized on September 29, 2017, from 5 pm to 10 pm.

Organizers: Institute for Physics, University of Stuttgart, SASA Gallery of Science and Technology, and Center for the Promotion of Science
