Scientific Conference ’Neuromodulation in Contemporary Medicine’

The scientific conference ’Neuromodulation in Contemporary Medicine’ will open on Wednesday, 22 October, at the SASA Grand Hall, at 9.30 a.m.

The above-mentioned event is dedicated to the therapeutic potential of invasive and non-invasive neuromodulatory approaches, which have demonstrated promising potential in the treatment of a range of diseases and pathological conditions. Alternatively, neuromodulatory procedures have facilitated the understanding of neuro mechanisms and networks of the nervous system that may underlie numerous disorders.

The conference will focus on neuromodulation in pain management and deep cerebral stimulation (mainly targeting the internal segment of the globus pallidus and the subthalamic nucleus) in movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease and dystonia, while also noting that the neuromodulatory techniques are applied across a wide spectrum of other diseases.
