SUMMER SCHOOL AND INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON THE PHYSICS OF IONIZED GASES (SPIG 2024) AT SASA
The Summer School and International Symposium on the Physics of Ionized Gases – SPIG 2024 will be held at the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts in the period between 26-29 August. The official opening ceremony is scheduled for 27 August at 8.45 a.m. at the SASA Grand Hall. The event is jointly organized by the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts and the Faculty of Physical Chemistry at the University of Belgrade.
The Symposium of Ionized Gases is an international scientific conference with a tradition spanning 60 years. The inaugural SPIG conference was held in Belgrade in 1962, and it has been convened biennially ever since.
The conference covers a wide array of topics, including gas plasmas, atomic collision processes, and the interaction of materials with particles and laser radiation.
Alongside formal presentations of scientific papers, the SPIG Conference also hosts the Summer School and International Symposium on the Physics of Ionized Gases. This provides a platform for young scientists to showcase the results of their work in a forum where some of the most notable world experts in some fields also take part.
The 32nd International Symposium of Ionized Gases will feature the participation of 130 researchers. Over the course of the event, 54 keynote lectures will be delivered, with 40 presented by eminent scientists and researchers from abroad.
