Symposium ’Movement Control’
Organized by the Department for Movement Disorders of the Clinic for Neurology at the University Clinical Center of Serbia in Belgrade and under the auspices of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Belgrade and Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, a two-day symposium titled ’Movement Control’ will take place on Friday, 6 June, at 8.50 a.m. at the SASA Grand Hall.
This is the first time that an expert conference is held in Belgrade which, in addition to addressing specific topics such as dystonia and ataxia, will underscore the importance of understanding and significance of these disorders from genetic, clinical, and therapeutic perspectives.
Among other things, visitors will get an opportunity to listen to lectures of foremost world experts, some of which are Professor Aasef Shaikh, from the University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center; Professor Hyder Jinnah, Emory University, Atlanta USA, Professor Ana Westenberger from the Institute of Neurogenetics, University of Lübeck, Germany and other lecturers from Serbia and from abroad.
The symposium aims to offer insight into contemporary research and advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of dystonia and ataxia, with a particular focus on their interrelation.
