Symposium ‘The Application of Proteomics in Biomedicine’

The seventh symposium of the Serbian Proteomics Association titled ‘The Application of Proteomics in Biomedicine’ officially opens at the SASA Grand Hall on 6 June at 10.30 a.m. The organizers of this now traditional event are the Serbian Proteomics Association, the School of Medicine of the University of Belgrade and the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts.

The focal topic of the symposium is the application of the new Omix Technologies in the research of new biomarkers for various human diseases. Additionally, the latest results of mass spectrometry’s applications in the study of food and medicine will be presented. Along with distinguished domestic lecturers, the symposium will see the participation of eminent professors from Italy and Greece who are invited lecturers. It is planned that more than 60 participants, mostly young researchers and PhD students from all universities in Serbia, will take part in the symposium.
