The World Conference on Science and Art for Sustainability

The World Conference on Science and Art for Sustainability opens on Tuesday, 23 September, at 9 a.m. at the SASA Grand Hall.

In August 2023, the United Nations (UN) General Assembly proclaimed the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development, from 2024 to 2033 – proposed by Serbia. The task to prepare and implement the overall program of the Decade was given to the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Following the initiative of the World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS), the World Conference on Science and Art for Sustainability will be held on September 23 and 24, 2025 in Belgrade, Serbia – within the Decade. The Host of the event is the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SASA), and its Co-Hosts are the Alliance of National and International Science Organizations for the Belt and Road Regions (ANSO) and UNESCO; the additional organizing institutions are: The Earth-Humanity Coalition, WAAS, The Club of Rome with its Serbian Chapter, and the UNESCO-MOST BRIDGES Coalition. The Conference will be one of the global flagship events within the Decade.
