Visitors’ Day at the SASA

Once a week the Visitors’ Day is organised at the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. This event aims to acquaint young visitors with the Academy’s foundation, its role and significance in society, the history of its building, the Art Collection, and the renowned scientists and artists who have been its members since the Academy’s establishment in 1841.

The tour programme is tailored to the age and interests of the visiting group. The programme is hosted by Nataša Vasić, Associate of SASA.

Organised tours of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts serve a multifold purpose. Introducing children and the youth to the importance, history and role of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts is an excellent way to offer a more concise picture on the SASA, as the highest scientific and art institution in the Republic of Serbia. SImultanously, it represents a good opportunity for primary and secondary students to broaden their knowledge acquired within the educational system, linking information on our scientists and artists and their great works with the school curriculum.

Admission to tours is free. They take place once a week, on Wednesdays at 11 a.m., for groups of up to 25 students. Schools interested in participating should contact: otvorenavrata@sanu.ac.rs
