2023 International Day of Immunology
The Board for Immunology and Allergology of the Department of Medical Society of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts and The Immunological Society of Serbia are marking the International Day of Immunology, with a scientific conference, on Thursday, 27 April. The Conference is to be held at the SASA Grand Hall, starting at 9 a.m.
The International Day of Immunology was first marked in 2005, and it has been marked across the world since 2007, as proposed by the International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS) and the European Federation of Immunological Societies (EFIS). The Day of Immunology aims to raise awareness of the results of immune system research and highlight the importance of immune system mechanisms in health and disease. Associations of immunologists around the globe observe this day with scientific conferences and campaigns organized for the public. The Immunological Society of Serbia was recognized in 2016, by the International Union of Immunological Societies, for a series of campaigns which marked the International Day of Immunology in Serbia.
